What problem are we trying to solve?

We believe that the hardware infrastructure exists to improve the quality of life for everyone in all aspects of their life. However, the software does not currently exist. A consequence of this inability to communicate with one another, and institutions that we are a part of and surround us, is that we lack the ability to communicate unhappiness or insecurity, effectively. This results in a higher than ideal threshold for reporting incidents or behaviour that negatively impact us as individuals.

Why are we tackling this problem?

A

We believe that society in general would benefit massively from clearer lines of communication, increased transparency and greater accountability. We believe that the Millijoin platform improves well-being at work, safety in public and experience when visiting Millijoin premises. We are a team extremely passionate about such positive change.

What are we going to do about it?

A

At work, a place where we spend the majority of our waking lives, we lack the tools to instantaneously communicate incidents that impact us, report our wellbeing and access content that can help us grow personally. In a public store or a festival, the current process for seeking help ranges from massively inefficient to non-existent. Nope. Millijoin is, and always will be, totally free for individuals to use. No in-app purchases, no advertisements and no misuse of data. 100% free.

Millijoin for businesses will be a subscription based service.

Can you use this service in other countries?

A

Our vision is to create online communities all over the world, communities that will assist individuals wherever they may be. The app will be available globally upon release. The functionality of creating ‘safer places’ will be dependent upon business adoption; this will logically be at a slower pace.

Will the app always be in English?

Only in the beginning. With time, we will have the app available in your local language!
